Identity

I am not particularly good at autobiographies, but here it goes. I was born in Tehran, Iran the day before Christmas in 1987. I spent several years of my childhood in Poland. Over my life I had the fortune of living in Northern and Southern Iran. I came to Canada in fifth grade and lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia until I began my studies in Montréal.

Some believe that we are all part of a magnificently choreographed dance, others believe that we are stardust floating aimlessly in a chaotic universe. Me? I am just trying to find where I stand, my karass, and how this wheel must roll.

Raison d’être

Ghiasi.org is a space for me to define, reflect on, and refine my thoughts on the things that I care about and have my voice heard by others. Too often the answers to questions we ask are– just because. I’ve found myself incredibly unsatisfied with that and have realized that the only way I am ever going to see the big picture and make some sense of this absurd world is to learn and to understand the how and the why in depth and in breadth.

Web-design and development have enabled me communicate through a wonderfully versatile and expressive medium. Through web design I’ve been able to stretch the boundaries of my creativity, and achieve a state of enlightenment. Well, almost. As the Wordpress tagline goes, “Code Is Poetry” and Web-Design — Art. I’ve found that with no horses, balls, or canvases required, the web is particularly useful when you have better things to do. ;)
